Best grill I’ve ever owned. Very high quality. The instruction video to put it together, a child could have done it aside from putting the unit on top which did require two people. They even included high quality tools to put it together, I made chicken thighs the first night, and did the smoker feature was awesome. Seriously awesome product and every YouTube video and Reddit post agrees. No this is not a grill to feed your whole neighborhood. The smoking feature is sooooo cool

This is a must have staple if you wish to up your game when it comes to grilling smoking and overall outdoor cooking. Incredible temperature control on this unit compared to traditional grills/smokers. This is on the heavier side compared to most grills/smokers but that justifies the quality that I see in my new Flex flame. Kind of reminds me of a Rolls Royce; Solid, sturdy, luxurious, and well throughout. Plenty of room to work with ample amount of upgrade attachments. Ninja is truly raising the bar with this Flex Flame. Very satisfied with my purchase.

    It came super fast...over night
Assembly directions are easy to follow
and once the base is assembled two people will be needed to lift and place the grill on top
Though i have only owned the grill a day and have not yet used it i have no doubt

I’m an engineer and like to test things so please excuse the long reviewTLDR: Excellent build quality, cheaper to operate, and versatility make this a home run. I had four different grills and couldn’t do what this can on any of them and can do what all of them could.Long reviewSetup:I have the black one from when they first hit Home Depot. It came in a crate well packaged and no damage. Assembly instructions are ridiculously good. The manual is easy to understand and high quality tools are provided. No really, I’m keeping the long screwdriver. If you don’t like using the manual there’s a whole video walkthrough. Two people are recommended but I do everything alone. With the base assembled and laying down you can attach the top then stand it up with one person. Don’t try to lift the top alone onto the base, it’s heavy. It took me just over an hour using only the provided tools and with interruptions from my kids.Build Quality:First impression it’s bigger than I thought and much better constructed. There’s a cheaper grill that looked a little similar but this isn’t it. Trying to compare the build quality to other grills the closest in store is a Weber Genesis. It’s got some serious heft to it. The lid is insulated very well. On a 250F smoke session I could lay my hand on it and keep it there with no issue. The side tables are stout.First cook:I went straight to smoking which is my favorite. I grabbed two Boston butts and put them in after letting the pellets smoke off a bit and burn in the grill. First one was done in 5.5 hours and second in 6.5. That’s much faster than my pellet grill at the same temperature. Like my Woodfire grill I only refilled the pellets once. This thing puts out some serious smoke. Pulled pork turned out with great bark, perfectly Smokey flavor and more juicy than I’m used to for smoked pork butt. I confirmed this later when I did a head to head with my pellet grill (Weber Smokefire).Cooking notes:It cooks much faster than a smoker or most ovens due to the convection fan. If you want a long cook drop the temperature. I actually preferred it when I compared lower temperature vs what I’m used to. It cools faster but retains moisture better.I measured propane use over two complete tanks. Consistently I got 0.5lb/hr or less no matter the temperature (200-300F) while smoking and outside temperature was in the 20’s and 30’s. I haven’t measured while cooking high temps as it’s usually only 30 minutes or less so harder to track.Pellet changes are possible. I don’t usually but I’ve heard of people switching pellets at different stages of the cook. Probably not as needed but does make that extremely easy to do.One brisket I had an emergency vet visit. When I came back the brisket flat was 208F at the lowest temperature. I thought it was going to be chilli. Surprisingly no, the meat from the FlexFlame across the board was more tender than from my pellet.Cost:I did these numbers assuming worst case conditions for the FlexFlame. I bought dirt cheap Pit Boss 40lb bags from Lowe’s and trade in LP tanks from Ace. If you buy better pellets (which I recommend) and get your tanks refilled instead of exchanged these numbers get way better.Doing a side by side with the Weber making smoked pork the cost for the FlexFlame was $4.37 ($3.52 propane and $0.85 pellet cost) for 8 hours of cook time. The Weber was $8.02 in pellets. These numbers were more divergent when doing low and slow briskets. This led me to buying higher quality pellets as less is needed for each cook.Cons:No interior light. Not an issue for day cooking and with the faster smoke times I haven’t really had a need for the overnight cooks like my pellet but a light would be nice.No wifi. I really like being able to see the temps on my phone. The WiFi on my Weber can be finicky but it’s great being able to me to check on my grill from anywhere. I suspect there will be an upgraded version at some point. Right now I’m using the Ninja temperature probes and as long as I’m in my house it worked well.Pellet box is better than the Woodfire but the top is angled which can cause some pellets to slide off onto the side table. It’s not a big deal but just a bit odd. Because the pellet box is bigger and burns a bit faster if you just want to do something small like the burgers I just made you need almost a full hopper. It’s still nowhere near what you use in a pellet grill but more than the Woodfire uses. I did catch them burning a bit faster than I’d like. The woodfire lasts about 45 minutes where this one is 30 minutes before needing refill. I still only used one refill for full flavor but ideally I could adjust smoke flow to prolong it.Side by side:I did a blind taste test with my family. We cooked pork butts, beef ribs, and briskets. FlexFlame Pork and Beef Ribs were hands down winners. The pork was more juicy and the ribs had better bark and flavor. The brisket was close but went to the Weber. FlexFlame was slightly more tender but the pellet had a little better bark.Bonus: GriddleI just got the griddle. This thing is heavy in all the right ways. It’s thicker than my blackstone. The blackstone has braces welded in to keep the thinner metal from warping. It still does the first few coils then calms down. This one had a tiny bit of warp the first cook and was completely solid since then. Tonight we did a smash burger off. First two were regular smash burgers (1/2 beef 1/2 pork, everything bagel seasoning) which turned out extremely well. Great crust and flavor, one of my better examples. Second burgers were smoked with temperature lowered 50F to give a little more contact time with the smoke. These burgers were the best burgers I’ve ever made. I didn’t think the smoke would make that big a difference with the exact same batch of meat but it did. Highly recommend the griddle.Bottom line:I’ve already sold my other grills except the Weber and it’s probably on borrowed time. If I want to do a couple monster briskets they’re going in there but other than that everything out of the FlexFlame has been better than my expectations. Being so much cheaper to run I can buy better pellets. With the build quality, ease of use, economics, versatility, and great bbq results, I’d say I’m quite happy with my purchase.

This grill is AMAZING! I've owned many grills in my lifetime and have never had one quite like this. There's a fan inside the grill that cooks food fast and leaves an incredible surround char. I made short ribs and they had the perfect about of crisp on the outside and juiciness on the inside. Would totally recommend!
